Celera Group LLC is a Franklin, Tennessee-based healthcare information technology-consulting firm providing services to hospitals, physician group practices, health plans, and other healthcare entities that leverage information technology to deliver services to their patients and community. History

Celera Group LLC was co-founded in 2008 by Troy Abruzzo and Kevin Watford in response to the growing demand for experienced healthcare technology consultants able to translate the technical requirements of the ARRA and HITECH Acts and deliver compliant solutions.

Leadership

Troy Abruzzo Managing Partner Mr. Abruzzo currently serves as the Managing Partner of the firm and is actively engaged in client projects. Prior to leading Celera Group, Mr. Abruzzo was a co-founder of a software product organization that develops and provides enterprise systems for behavioral healthcare and social services agencies. Troy was instrumental in the company's tremendous growth and success over an eight year period, having served as the Director of Development, Director of Customer Support, and Vice President of Implementations and Products. Mr. Abruzzo has more than 10 years of healthcare related systems engineering and development experience. He has managed and participated in all aspects of software implementation, with an emphasis on analysis and project management.

Kevin Watford Managing Partner Kevin Watford has over ten years of healthcare billing and revenue cycle management experience, including project management, systems analysis, development, implementation, and training. He has designed, built, and deployed multiple national HIPAA compliant billing systems for healthcare providers across the country, working with each client to utilize the latest EDI standards to optimize their revenue cycle management strategies. Mr. Watford is a graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelors degree in Finance and Computer Science.
